Client: Personal Project
This is an ongoing passion project to show off some of my latest experience with Web Design and Development in Framer, 3D Motion Design with C4D/Redshift, and Rive/Spline Interactivity. Quite a project indeed.
Based off the book "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" (which was the inspiration for the Movie Blade Runner), the Penfield Mood Organ was a device that could give its user the ability to change their mood instantly. And although the device was not featured in the movie, I had a written concept of what the device could do from the book. The rest of the design was up to me.
Of course my first goal was to design and model the concept device. I started with a modern style, but then headed to create a 80's retro looking device that resonated more with the Blade Runner genre. A rugged and boxier concept.
Another challenge I wanted to give myself was the ability for the website to demo the functionality of the Mood Organ with my favorite new interactive tool Rive.
Earlier in my career I was a Flash developer, so when Rive (still in Beta) came into the web interactivity scene, I had to start learning it and bring some of my Flash passions back to life.
Take the demo device for a spin.
